Heal Spell 815
#1
In the description of the Heal spell it reads that it is less potent after the first casting.  Is that after the first casting in a turn or throughout history for that group?

I've heard the Heal spell is underwhelming but I'm going to try it out for myself.

Anyone know the answer on this?

Its per turn, not forever.  I kind of thought the Heal spell was underpowered, until I thought what I would do with it to revise, now that we don't have 80% attrition, etc.  So in a 5 brigade group, attrition cannot be over 20% if due to not feeding, etc, but after a battle, could not be over 12%, else a brigade would be eliminated (if attrition would be over 60% for a brigade, its eliminated.  So I'm open to suggestions, and would like Heal to be used more, although some kingdoms have it in The Choosing as a trait.

Heal should be a battle spell (100 something) that takes effect after combat concludes, but before brigades are eliminated.  And it should not have a food cost (the cost is in foregoing a different combat spell or even a shield spell.)  Valor increases offense during combat, Shield reduces damage during combat, and Heal should reduce attrition at the conclusion of combat (hopefully saving the removal of a brigade, depending upon the level of the caster of course).  Nothing like having a magical medic immediately on hand to save lives and limbs! (Should work just like the TR regeneration should work - immediately upon the conclusion of combat but before brigades are eliminated.)  TR should have its natural regeneration plus the ability to cast Heal - then TR would again be fearsome.

The only reason why I don't use Heal is because it has no effect on Army Group-sized groups. It takes too much time and effort to split up your groups into smaller sizes to benefit from the current heal (either by wizard or priestess). Bump up the heal values and allow the largest sized groups to heal as well and it'll be used.
