Well, the kingdoms that have the best covert capabilities are the Underworld (of course), the Dark Elves (but I assure you, our agents were not involved in your incidents), the Gnome (certainly wouldn't target himself!), the Witchlord (hmmm ... seems a little busy to be bothering with us) and perhaps the Ancient Ones (doubtful). Any nation could, of course, focus enough resources to develop its covert abilities to the necessary level. The thief of Gundibar is probably obvious, but it would be unlikely that the same culprit would be involved in your attacks. Even if the motive were to stir up instability in Alamaze, why would he resort to assassinating agents of his clients ... a discreet theft, perhaps, but not assassination. Baffling ....
