I have found I have good success if I make sure I have enough strength in the group to handle the max range for the type of encounter.  I also try to do a lot of 2 tactics when possible.

I agree. I had another encounter and another leader death this turn.

The leader deaths suck but was worth it.  The other group is advancing the leaders nicely.  The regional reaction influence and prince plus 14k make that encounter pretty sweet

I believe that is (if not, should be) a superior sighting, given all the benefits.  Remember the excellent player aids Frost Lord has provided which among many other things, allow you to gauge your risk in encounters.  Also that tactic 3 increases both chance of success and chance of characters dying by about equal amounts.

I might only use tactic 3 for sightings rarely and tactic 1 if I dominate the encounter level (lots of points at a fine encounter, etc). 

Glad one of our new encounters was discovered and negotiated!  Princess, Influence, Reaction Level, 14k gold.  That could be a game changer that effects every turn for a kingdom.

Your memory is correct it was superior. Didn't seem like a 2 would get it done. I would love that encounter in a non test game especially as early as I found it.

I will say I think there was a big with the encounter as I'm sure the centurion Sirius the fox died and not major general Sirius the fox?

working on orders

Just realized now you need to issue twice as many orders as you used to transfer troops.

I wish there was just a box to check that said ALL.   That is almost always what I am doing.

You can't use the combine order because you loose leaders/wizards.   Seems like this should be fixed.
