The Beginnings of Valhalla
#1
We are working on the specifics for Valhalla. Obviously status points overall by persona but also lists for highest finishes by kingdom, and a concept called Honor.

The first listing will appear shortly after Games 100 and 101 have completed Turn 6 - the first status point awards.

A new aspect we wish to emphasize is what we call Honor. Honor will have different categories. The first of which is to become a Citizen of Alamaze. A player becomes a Citizen when he has remained active in his first Alamaze game after Turn 12 is complete. Said another way, a player who drops a game before Turn 12 of their first game will not become a Citizen.

Besides the credential in Valhalla, becoming a Citizen earns a persona a credit. Credits can be exchanged for free setups, standby positions, and a free game over the Service Level limits.

The details of credits are also being determined, but becoming a Citizen is one credit, being active in a game at its conclusion is a credit, and more credits for placing 1 - 3. Likely 3 credits are redeemable for a free setup.

I propose a simple thread for results of Magic and Steel games, without Titan/Warlord.

As each game is concluded we'd see the same list of results the players see.

I know it's probably gonna get posted in the thread for each game, but this'd just be a single source reference so you can see who did what in game #102 etc.

Are you talkin g about the Forums or Valhalla?

If the Forums, I can do that.

If Valhalla, it's on the back burner at the moment but it will be pretty awesome when we get to it. It will be cooler if we can have a couple more games end before it starts anyway. Valhalla will definitely show all the results that I can get Cipher to report on.

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

Forum. I thought Valhalla was going to be part of the Forum.

Valhalla will be a separate work with a link to it in the Forum. It will need its own site!

That being said, I will start the thread you requested here to tide us over.
