And a game that had lots of trading and transferring. But the rumor-tree does not rely on facts, just teams and long-dead conspiracy theories. Don't remember even seeing you in that game, but you are apparently part of the rumor tree. Seen it lots by lots of people RE: 5481 Ice Age Summertime - gkmetty - 08-22-2020 (08-22-2020, 06:23 PM)Senior Tactician Wrote: Its funny there is a lot of really weird stuff that goes on in Alamaze. Did you know that if you leave the game, your artifacts don't always go back to their starting points like they are supposed to? For instance, lets say you are playing the RA, and you get drummed out of the game and decide to drop. You can transfer all your artifacts to your groups and then move your groups to your buddies PCs. Lets say your buddy in real life is playing the AT, you can just go to his PCs with your artifact laden groups, and when the computer removes your groups from the game, those artifacts will drop onto your buddies villages! Isn't that weird? What is even funnier is the artifacts in question went to the kingdom that took the RA out of the game, say the DE. If you are going to make accusations at least get the facts right. RE: 5481 Ice Age Summertime - gkmetty - 08-22-2020 I'm in favor of no trading for the remainder of the game. Isn't that weird? Seriously not making any accusations, just made a very odd observation, not sure which game you guys are in that this actually did or did not happen, as you say, just stating a fact that this is how the program works. RE: 5481 Ice Age Summertime - Drogo - 08-22-2020 I'm fine to continue trading or stop. I'm not bothered either way. This does reinforce why I much prefer the silent version of this game. RE: 5481 Ice Age Summertime - Pine Needle - 08-22-2020 I will not be trading with UN. RE: 5481 Ice Age Summertime - Brekk - 08-22-2020 Trading was not restricted. NAPs and Alliances were. This is an Ice age game special format that heavily favors specific kingdoms, there is a reason the RD was chosen last it eats a TON of food, now some of you who are fine in the format, either because you have undead troops who consume no food or special artifacts that triple your food, want to say I'm not allowed to buy, thats ridiculous. I do not have mages capable of bounty. I am no where near the SO. or CI with whom I have traded and will continue to trade or anyone else for that matter. Play your kingdoms. RE: 5481 Ice Age Summertime - DuPont - 08-22-2020 I honestly don't see the problem here. The only thing I plan to trade at the moment is dead bodies of kidnapped Cimerians but I think it's unfair to slap a 'no trade' clause in mid-game. All trading is happening openly and the players are putting out offers and not restricting it to any one player. Nobody's close to winning and I'd trade with anybody but the CI if I happened to have a bunch of extra food. I really don't see how trading is an alliance, especially at fair terms. It would be one thing if a player was sending somebody else a bunch of stuff for one gold or one food, but the sums being traded are quite reasonable. RE: 5481 Ice Age Summertime - uncledarkseid - 08-22-2020 I chose the sorceror specifically for the spell lists, giving up a hidden cap because i knew i could get bounty on T3 in an ice age game. I even sacrificed getting my region early in order to pursue that goal. I was casting bounty two turns before i even took the region, with the intent of trading the food away. What good is pre analysis of the game if the rules are changed in the middle of the game? I still have food available to trade, vball you want some you got it, it was offered to you already. Not being able to trade ruins the plans i laid when i signed up for this game. Show me one action besides a trade with brek that lends towards an alliance. I am creating a monster on purpose With the belief that i can stop him in the future. I have summon death and demonic visions already, i can tele to any of his regions invisibly and cast famine, taking back all the food i have given him. In the mean time, the 60k i am trading for 36k gold this turn affords me an extra 16,000 gold, which almost is three additional wizard levels when combined with my tower, each of the next three turns. Not being able to trade hurts my chances of winning. I don't agree, but i will not trade with the red these three turns if that is how you all choose. My choice to trade with the black is simple, i gain more gold, and he is weakening the owner of stormgate, which i would prefer to not see reinforced when I arrive there. Ulterior motive, yes. Is it wrong to to trade with that in mind? It does not mean i am working with them, but being honest i think they can help my cause if they are stronger. I call that strategy. This is the last time i play ina talking game, so i guess i wont be picking many kingdoms with TOT or the hafling, ever, which i had hoped to play. Food for thought 1. If continuous trading has been an issue in the past, you should mention it in the rules. 2. If you are upset about something, maybe bring it up in a civil fashion. 3. Some of us are new here, and are trying to escape drama and play a friggin game. You should welcome new players with open arms, as it seems there may only be about twenty of us active. It just took three weeks to fill a game. RE: 5481 Ice Age Summertime - VballMichael - 08-22-2020 I did bring it in a civil fashion the first time, and I still got jumped all over, which led to escalation. And then the trading continued anyway. Do what you want. I will just be turning in my orders and playing for fun. |
