Yes, I'd venture his happiness level to be below par.
I just laid said warlord to rest, and he did not look happy.  His name was Ancalogon, and he had a wife and two young children.  They are correct, I ignored your ambushing group, assuming you would not attack my army group, and attacked Stormgate instead.
