Spell failures
#1
I get that spells fail sometimes. For instance, last turn I received this message and therefore was not surprised when my food production did not change:

The Power-6 wizard xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx cast the bounty (regional) spell.
Due to an unknown magical anomaly, the wizard failed to cast the bounty
                           regional spell.

However, this turn my message was not about failure and I am surprised by no change to my food. Any thoughts?
Somewhere else on my turn I should look for an explanation?

The code allows for only one regional spell per turn per region.   Also, the Bounty spell, as in the description, has a 25% chance of failure.

Name:    Bounty (Regional Effect)                 Spell #:  786

This beneficial magic causes food production in the region of the spellcaster to
increase by 20% permanently. All population centers in the region are effected. There
is a 25% chance of this spell failing.  Only one regional effect spell can be
successful per region, per turn. No other Columns need be completed.

Was there any other regional spell that canceled it?   Not a seasonal change, you would have caught that?

No other regional spell and not a seasonal change and I understand the percent chance of failure. I guess my question is whether the turn always states when it fails like it did the previous turn. Usually after a failed spell, the language is that the wizard tried to cast or it describes the failure. This one only had language that said he cast it.
I guess only UM can answer whether there is always some indication that a spell did not work.

I really wish people would send such concerns to support instead of the forum. Keep in mind that you can have only one regional spell active in a region, that's inclusive of all types (e.g., cold darkness, raise regional census, etc.). If you didn't cast another regional spell then perhaps someone else did like demonic visions but none of your groups may have been affected (and you didn't know something was cast in the same region because your groups were unaffected). The code works fine.

Thank you. I wasn't questioning the code, just trying to understand if it will always tell me if it fails. That is why I hit the forum. I threw no other regional spells and I believe nobody is in my region to do that, but I can't be sure on that point.
